Very cool.  Absolutely perfect placement.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

i was gunna make a smart ass comment like "this is how i hunt elk" but after watching the full clip i am just in awe. the primal way those men hunt and the reverence they give the animal truly touched me. thanks for the post

I was actually gonna do the same thing, but you are right.  That was truly awesome.

+1  And I thought I was a pretty good tracker.  These guys can follow a single impala track amongst a whole herd, tell you where it stopped, how long, what it ate, at night while you're fumbling around with headlamps, etc.  Truly humbling to see a man hone his senses to that level.

The video/hunt is very impressive!  The comments from the majority of youtube watchers are not. :(

I thought this was how everyone hunted elk - have I been doing something wrong?   :chuckle:

No one had been a smart ass yet, and it was getting kind of heavy, so I felt the need to lighten the mood.  If I ever run down an animal in that fashion you guys won't have to put me down, because I am pretty sure that I won't have the endurance of such a great animal.

very impressive - might be a long pack out though.
